Chevy's Growing EV Lineup | Waverly, OH

2024 Chevy Silverado EV Concept Truck

General Motors made waves in the automotive world when the company announced a 35 billion dollar investment in electric vehicles (EVs) and autonomous vehicles (AVs). While AVs are perhaps a ways off, EVs have been around for a while and the market gets an update regularly. Much of the investment announced by GM is aimed at building up its electric vehicle manufacturing capacity, including plans to build two new plants in the United States. GM’s expansion is reflected within the Chevy EV lineup, many of which will be electrified by the end of the decade - if not well before. The EV line is quickly expanding. If an electric vehicle is something you’re interested in, view our currently available EVs on Hometown Chevrolet’s website, or stop by to see some of these incredible vehicles in person. Give our dealership a call to plan a test drive, wherever you are in the state!

Current Electric Vehicles

Take a look at the currently available electric vehicles offered by Chevrolet below for a driving experience that is unparalleled.
Chevy Bolt EV on the street

The Chevy Bolt EV

The Chevy Bolt is a sporty electric hatchback that combines affordability and fun. The MSRP for the Bolt EV is $25,600, but Chevrolet will cover the cost of installing a Level 2 home charger for eligible drivers as a nice bonus.

The Bolt gets 200 horsepower and enjoys Chevy Safety assist, which is a suite of features that includes forward collision alert and automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist and departure warning, and more. It zips from 0 to 60 in just 6.5 seconds and can get 259 miles on a single charge. As one of the first electric cars available through Chevy, it got many people to fall in love with electric vehicles. Some other features for the Bolt EV include:
•10.3-inch Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System
•Wireless Apple CarPlay™/Android Auto™
•57.0 cubic feet of cargo space
•Available HD Surround Vision including HD Rear Vision Camera

The Chevy Bolt EUV

The Chevy Bolt EUV is built on the same base platform as the Bolt EV, but it has a more spacious interior. It does sacrifice a little bit of range to achieve this, but the loss is almost negligible. The Bolt EUV has available hands-free cruise control: it seems that the autonomous vehicle age is closer than many of us thought. As GM vehicles are known to deliver on impressive comfort, it is no surprise that the Bolt EUV is designed for you to bask in comfort while you drive.

With an MSRP of $27,200, the Bolt EUV is still an incredibly affordably priced EV. Some features include:
0 to 60 in 7.0 seconds with 200 hp
Standard Chevy Safety Assist
Wireless Apple CarPlay™/Android Auto™
Wireless device charging 56.9 cubic feet of cargo space
Available Adaptive Cruise Control
Available Super Cruise™
Available Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert

Comparison

In terms of price, there isn’t a huge difference, so your budget most likely won’t be the deciding factor between the two models. While price might not be a major factor, there are other key differences to keep in mind

In terms of size, both vehicles are built on the same platform, but the Bolt EUV is about six inches longer than the Bolt EV from end to end, as well as a longer wheelbase. This longer wheelbase allows the Bolt EUV to offer more legroom, accounting for a difference in a little over three inches. Additionally, there are some differences when it comes to trim levels, so make sure to see what’s available and the features that come at each level.

Future Electric Vehicles
As far as the future of Chevrolet EVs, Chevy has concrete plans to release electrified versions of the Chevy Silverado, Chevy Equinox, and Chevy Blazer. The latter two are crossover SUVs that drivers will fall in love with as they combine utility with power and style, not to mention savings on fuel and maintenance costs!

2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV
The Silverado EV is an electric truck that will be built on GM's new Ultium platform, which already forms the base of the GMC Hummer EV. The Silverado EV promises to be a sleek truck that can fill a wide variety of roles: it will work well as the family vehicle, or as a sporty daily driver for active Alma residents. The electric pickup truck offers an incredible amount of storage. In fact, you'll be able to fit items up to 10 feet long in the back, and there is a trunk under the front hood. Even the front console offers a generous amount of storage space thanks to the lack of a transmission.
The Silverado EV is slated to release in 2023, but preorders are open now! Some other features for the truck include:
Starting at $39,900 (estimated) MSRP*
All-electric range of 400 miles
0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds with 660 hp
Multi-Flex midgate with pass-through
20,000-pound max towing capacity
17-inch diagonal free-form screen
14 available camera views
Available four-corner air ride adaptive suspension

2024 Chevrolet Blazer
EV The Chevy Blazer is an electric SUV that features incredible performance, and now you can enjoy that performance with full electric power. The Chevrolet Blazer EV offers up an impressive driving range, top-of-the-line performance specs, and incredible style.
The MSRP of the Blazer EV is $44,995, and with the performance and capabilities of a vehicle like this, we can’t complain. The interior even further channels the performance-oriented nature of the Blazer EV with a racing-inspired flat-bottom steering wheel. Some additional features of the SUV include:
All-electric range of 320 miles
0 to 60 in 4.0 seconds with up to 557 horsepower
Hands-free start system
Wireless Apple CarPlay™/Android Auto™
Wireless device charging
17.7-inch diagonal display screen
Available in FWD, RWD or eAWD

2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV
The EV version of the Equinox, a mid-sized compact crossover SUV, is going to retail for about 30,000 dollars. This is an extremely competitive price for a vehicle in this class, giving buyers the impression that GM’s goal is to overtake Tesla as the number one electric vehicle company.
We expect the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV to start at around $30,000 MSRP. The vehicle offers practicality at every turn, with a focus on technology, features, and performance. Other things to note about the Equinox EV include:
All-electric range of 300 miles
0 to 60 in 6.0 seconds with 290 horsepower
FWD with available eAWD
Up to 1,500 pounds of towing capabilities
57.2 cubic feet of cargo space
Heated seats, steering wheel, & wiper park
Standard Chevy Safety Assist
17.7-inch Freeform display screen

What’s It Like To Own An EV?
While some potential EV owners fret about the complexities of charging an electric vehicle, the process is quite simple and there are very few restrictions to your time. In fact, once you’ve tried out an electric vehicle from Chevrolet, you might never want to go back. To put it simply, both currently available EVs, the Bolt EV and the Bolt EUV, are both able to be charged with the energy you have at home. In fact, it's easy! Just plug in your battery when you get home and charge away. With the Bolt EV, a standard electrical outlet can provide enough energy to add around 4 miles of range to your battery per hour that you’re plugged in. But if you install a Level 2 at-home charging station, you can add up to 26 miles of range with just one hour of charge, although these rates might slightly vary. Many public charging stations add around 39 miles of range per hour of charge, and the fastest charging comes from DC Fast Charging stations that can add up to 100 miles of range to your battery so that you’re road ready with only 30 minutes of charge. While these stations can be harder to find than your typical gas station, DC Fast Charging Stations are becoming increasingly common. Another main difference in car ownership for an EV owner is that you require less routine maintenance than a standard combustion engine. Bye bye oil changes! And when it comes to maintenance for either Chevrolet EV, you’ll be covered by an eight-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty, along with five-year, 60,000-mile roadside assistance coverage.
